Delete your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time. No reason needed and no need to ask us.
First: take your documents with you
On the account page there is a button that hands you everything as a ZIP: every uploaded file in its original form, plus spreadsheets and your master data. It takes a moment and costs nothing.
Do it before you delete. The legal duty to retain business records is yours, not ours and once the account is gone we cannot hand you anything.
In the app
Account → Delete account. You type your e-mail address as a safeguard and then you have a choice:
- With a deadline. The account is marked and locked straight away and nobody reaches the documents any more, not even you. After 30 days it is deleted for good. Until then you can bring it back.
- Straight away. No deadline, no way back.
Without the app, by e-mail
You do not need the app to get rid of your account. Write to us from the address you sign in with: info@pulpo.cloud
We answer and delete; writing from that address is itself the proof that it is yours, which is why it has to be that one.
What gets deleted
Everything that belongs to your account: the uploaded files, every value read out or entered by hand, issuers, categories, recurring items, expected documents and export packages.
What does not get deleted
Two things remain and we would rather say so plainly than leave it out:
- The billing record for the reading costs. They were incurred and paid. Your identifier in it is replaced by a random one. The amount stays, the link to you does not.
- Backups. They are not edited after the fact; that is neither sensible nor required. They expire after their retention period and are not used for anything in the meantime, other than recovering from an outage.
And the e-mail address stays taken while the deadline runs. Otherwise somebody else could sign up with it in the meantime and your account could no longer be brought back.
